When I compile and counter strike comes up the map won't load
When I go to run map and I have all of the stuff checked on normal, counter strike comes up, but in the console it says it didn't find my map. Please help!

You probably have a space in the map's name.
And welcome to the forums!

When you compile it can you find where the .bsp file is saved?
P.s you can upload the .bsp and the .vmx file so we can take a look on it. You can use filefront or rapshared (or what's it called).

The VMX and BSP didn't compile. All I have is text and .max

Could it be the & symbol? Try getting rid of that. If not, I'd be worried about the

I saw that too. It seems like when I save, it saves as a .map instead of a .vmf. I looked to see if I could change that, but I can't figure out how. It always turns up as like this cs_searchdestroy.map or cs_searchdestroy.rmf anyone know what a .rmf is??

Argh, what are you doing? Save the map to your desktop. Call it, say, 'map1'. You then press F9 and compile the map and once it's done, you load up CSS and it's there.

It's cause 1 of your textures hammer can't load, just do a re-texture or something that'll change some textures.
