You need to make the skybox surround your level. Make it hollow so that everything is inside it. Add lighting, and the level will look quite good. Nice architecture, but try not to make walls and stuff that are only 1 unit thick.

Believe you, me; you'll know if you've done it right. Materials browser --> Browse --> 'tools' ---> Select the light blue with a white crosshair, skybox texture --> Block (brush) tool make it as you normally woud, making sure that it surrounds the entire map, in X, Y and Z dimensions --> Ctrl+H (after you've made the skybox) --> put '-32' in the size. There's your skybox.... After that, you'll notice that the colors will've changed, a little, depending on if you don't have any lights, or ANY lights. Drop in you appropriate lighting (or compile and test it without any lighting so that the default lighting is set to 'fullbright 1'), and then compile it. You should have a pretty decent looking map... After that, follow the tuts on youtube for whatever else you're going to need (more advanced lighting, CUBEMAPS, etc. Hope it works out for you!
