This is a very good map, by the way. It really has had a lot of work put into it and I felt genuinely lost when I fell into a rooftop sheltered area and had to escape through a house. It's given me some inspiration.

Wow, really good lighting, for your first map ever I'm very impressed. Your skybox is impressive as well, you've given the map a nice industrial city feel. Stick around, this forum needs more skilled mappers.
Protip: use your space wisely, there are alot of large open areas without anything of interest to look at or use, try and up the detail a little, maybe some graffiti decals and bits of junk lying around.
Looking forward to the final version.

With your buildings, they tend to be the same shape all the way up. Try to make buildings vary in shape as they go up. cs_assault is a good example. I can't find any good pictures of the big brown building in the middle of the map, but it's a brilliant case of a dull building made interesting by adding bits that stick out and stuff. For now, just look at the different height roof areas. img.presence-pc.com/news/c/s/CS_Assault_03.jpg

Hmm, I don't know. Those stairs look really fake. Increase the fog distance and add more contrast to the lighting.
