Started a new, one of my first serious ones. I'm also working on a surf map but I can't be assed to continue with that one. I'm not a map uberpro, but I like to spend some time on it. But if you have any hints, then please give them. Also, I will probably post some questions (that can be very stupid sometimes because I have no imagination in entity settings, outputs etc.) Here are the first screenshots from the spawns (will remove the weapons later) CT spawn (still need to fix the spotlights) CT spawn with door opening T spawn with closed doors The begin of the map for the CT's with T area around it, from here I will continue mapping. Cheers

I am making some huge progress, first two traps are placed and I made an anti-afk system. After 45 seconds the T spawn will become an oven and the doors will close, and the CT spawn will be penetrated

I'd say that the first one could really do with a higher roof, possibly slanty bits either side. Have a couple of supports to break up the flatness of the walls, too.
I don't fully understand the last picture.

From there I will continue with mapping, it's just when you fall down after moving from the ct spawn. Oh well I will post some screenshots with my next progress (3 new traps and a ditch)
What do you mean by supports?

Beams, sticky out bits, something just to stick onto the walls to make them look more 3D

Okay, will do those kind of things at the end. Some screenshots: First trap with spikes to climb over the gap. Falling down will kill you. Trap 3, a squeezer. The green spotlights will turn red when activated. My name rotating, a teleporter around it will teleport you to the next part of the map (working on that now) Trap 1 with a block pushing the CT's off when activated. The block will always remain it's position. Immediatly after the gap there is this big block coming up from the floor with high speed smashing you into the ceiling, killing you instantly. \/ More in next post \/

Well it definitely looks interesting, though I can't understand some of these pictures still. There doesn't seem to be any order to the textures used. You need to make it easier to follow- make the paths more defined and stick to a more reliable colour scheme.

The hidden ditch. Squeezer open Squeezer closed Stairs to the teleporter... ...but with just a single smash on a button it transforms into a slide with a poisonous pool at the end I will upload the map so you can walk through it, then it will probably be much easier to understand

Good luck!

I could make a small cilinder with another FX color amount? I think you didn't get my idea. look I mean: Make a stripe completly from start to end with a neon (you can make that theres a tutorial on w3 somewhere.) texture. so that people know where to go?

Alright I played it, looks great ( I guess because I never played deathrun) everything works great. BUT you really need to check some brushes which are going through eachother. I think this is worth a 7
