Ok, I have a new problem. I am loading maps manually and it has been working great (thanks again). Now when ever I try to load this specific map I am working with, HL2 crashes. Any way to fix this?

There's probably a bug with the entities in the map. Delete bits of the map (Make sure you keep a back up) until it works. It's long winded, but it should work.
Either that or post the compile log txt file here.

When you say it is a bug with on of the entities does that mean anything in the map (walls ect. ) or only entities. Also, This is always in my log file and I don't know how to fix it or what it is: Creating default cubemaps for env_cubemap using skybox materials: skybox/sky_day01_01*.vmt Run buildcubemaps in the engine to get the correct cube maps.
No such variable "$hdrbasetexture" for material "skybox/sky_day01_01rt" Can't load skybox file skybox/sky_day01_01 to build the default cubemap! TY for the help

That error pops up a lot, it doesn't cause any problems.
I mean entities only.

I am building an elevator and want the pulley wheels to turn as the elevator moves. I am wondering how to make a func_physbox spin (or any better method to acheive this).

I'd use a phys_motor. There's an example of this in the hl2 folder as a vmf.
