i made a moving laser and i wanted to make it to a button,can any one tell me what the output is for the button to start the laser moving

How did you make it move? Which sort of entities did you use?

Well if you named the button and the laser track, on the button menu- when pressed, turn on func_tracktrain or whatever you named it. If the laser is tied to that track train then it will move. I think that is it.

It's under the func_button outputs.... Add and then go through the usual rig of setting it in motion - No different than making a tracktrain move; just as long as both your info_target and your laser are both tied to the 'train'... Unless you want the SOURCE to move, only and not the target.
Make sure that the source object has the first stop as the first track-point... If that's not set, it won't move.
(BTW, explorer7: You can NEVER forget the 1s and 0s)
