Whenever I try browsing for sounds, Hammer shuts off without an error message. I've restarted Hammer, Steam, and my computer, and it won't stop dong this. I verified the cache or whatever, and I reset the game configurations. There are three error messages whenever I turn Hammer on, and it says something is wrong with tf.fgd. I deleted it, and I restarted Steam. It still locks up when I browse sounds.
"line 1312: expected @" "line 1314: expected identifier after @" "line 1314: unrecognized section name @"
Each of those errors has the path to the file "tf.fgd" before it, but I didn't type that out for each.

Thank you. I will look for it. While I'm here, Steam won't connect to the internet. Well, it does, but It says "Error Code -102" Whenever I try to look at a profile or the Steam Store. My friends in my friends list are all there, and that works fine. I reinstalled Steam and it still does this. I have an Ethernet cable hooked up to my router and my Internet connection has been better than ever. Any suggestions?

Nope. It fixed itself after a few days. I guess Steam needed an update or something to work with whatever configurations I have.

BUMPLOL Also, my sound browser still locks up Hammer. I verified the caches and refreshed the SDK content and it still does it. Also, I have no idea where to find an update, all I can find is forums full of people complaining about other things. This sucks, because I'm trying to add finishing touches to my map so I can finally be done with it and play it with people.

I thought you said it was fixed?
Try reloading sound cache files. File -> Reload Sounds.

I thought you said it was fixed? Try reloading sound cache files. File -> Reload Sounds. I completely reinstalled it, and reloaded the sounds. It still does it. Anyway, all I can find are updates for older problems that have nothing to do with what I'm dealing with. :/ EDIT: A sound file was corrupted.
