Hi.
I've used hammer editor a bit and know the "basics" of it, but want to go further in the system.
I'm trying to build a map for HL2, and i've got pretty far, but what i need help to is the soundscape.
When i open the "soundscape" tab in env_soundscape, it says someting like "Corresponds to an entry in the soundscapes*.txt file in the hl2acripts directory". I cant really find that directory, am i suppose to create one ?
I've tried to open the GCF file with the GCFScape, and opened source engine. i found the "scripts" folder, and i copied a name from one of the names in the npc_sounds_citizen.txt and pasted in the soundscape tab, but nothing happends...
or to tell my problem easier: i want a citizen to talk, but how ? and i dont think i have the "hl2acripts directory"...

Just use this list for soundscapes. Use scripted sequences for citizens to do stuff, Im not to sure.

And by the way, the npc sounds in sounds menu in ambient_generic doesnt work, it wont even priew
