Hello i am making a map for hl2 (of course) and i whould like to have a soundscape/ambient sound in the backround like this one

Place a entity with the name Ambient_generic.
Click on it to open it's property screen.
Browse for sounds. Make sure format is set to RAW
Filter for 'Music'
Pick a song. You can't preview them in hammer, but this list here combines the file name with the official soundtrack title, so you can search for those titles on youtube or listen them if you got the OST.

Make sure the Ambient_generic has a name. For example, 'eatbeaversmusic'
Be sure the start volume is 10, and that in the flags section, 'Do not loop' and 'play everwhere' are checked.
Now make a brush, and turn that brush into a trigger_once (you should know how to do this).
Create an output:
output named: OnStartTouch
Target entities named: eatbeaversmusic
via this input: playsound
be sure to toggle the 'fire once only' box to prevent it from playing again by accident.
