I finally got to a point were I'm happy to release the beta, and no I'm not putting it on fpsbanana, not yet anyway. Layout: If you don't already know, this map is mainly about a common civilian town or harbor, that is being invaded by the counter terrorists, the whole thing is a big misunderstanding. The lighthouse is in need of repairs, and the CT's come in thinking that there going to take out actual terrorist's that "sabotaged" it on purpose and trying to stop them at all costs. The T's, however, think that terrorist's are coming in and invading there town, so they naturally fight back. Setting/Plot: This map is played at night, I mean who invades a town in the middle of the day?! The T's have knifes, the CT's have a USP, there's no buyzone, there's no guns laying around the map. There's dark spots so the T's can sit and ambush the CT's. Point of Beta: I need you guys to come on to my clan's server and tell me what it needs, or doesn't need (i.e. more or less lighting, more ambush spots etc.) Other Info: connect 24.47.205.131:27017 If you want to beta test make post saying you want to. add me to steam: iliveoffpain Be mindful that it looks better in game, and also there's rotating lights and blinking lights.

Looks cool, id be happy to help testing. Btw while im posting, how do i create a minefield on sdk(for cs:s), which entity is it again? I completely forgot and i didnt wanna create a new topic just becouse of that

Looks really dark. Try adding a 3d skybox to make the water go on a bit longer. And choose a better water texture as well. The wasteland and dev/dev_2 are my favorite water. Also keep in mind to add a lod_water_control entity as well.

i dont have a sky box... because when i had one it would light up the whole map, so i had to use a black tool texture to cover the whole map but give it a "night effect"
im using dev2

The skybox doesn't alter how light your map is

Doesnt look like it. That or its the cheap geforce 1 type Either use the plain or search for the wasteland water thats slowly becoming my favorite water. Its will also be checkerboard in the editor but it works fine in game.

The skybox doesn't alter how light your map is i dont know man, but once i covered it, it worked test it if you want too, i don't see many dark maps

I have. The brightness from the sky is determined by the values in the light_environment entity.
