is there a way to make a head crab kill you instantly? just the regular npc_headcrab. not the black ones. im pretty sure its simple, but i cant figure it out. and if this isnt possible, is there a way to manipulate the character so you have a maximum of 1hp?

Make a trigger_hurt that inflicts 99 damage at the beginning of the level!
Or combine black headcrabs with normal ones, in the same room

The HEV suit is coated in sticky stuff on the inside, so even if Gordon Freeman's bones do break he'll be held in place. Take him out of it at the end of Half Life 3 and he'll be as limp as a wet flannel. I don't know anything about modifying damage values, sorry. How about parenting a trigger_hurt to the front of the headcrab?

or if you want to die in one hit, // Headcrab sk_headcrab_health "10" sk_headcrab_melee_dmg "100"

Then if you play the regular levels any time you get hit by a head crab youll die.

so youre saying you can change the health and dmg of any creature in hl2, so its like uber cheating! like making a antilion guard have 1hp and do 1 dmg...

if you rename it to like "head crab 2" then just use that in your level and make the regular headcrab play in hl2

well, you can make him have a max of 1 hp, look through config or something. if its a mod you should do what I said earlier. or type the command like sk_plr_max_health or something probably and when you compile the map type that in it the parameter box maybe, I don't know I've never tried it.
