Hello gals and guys.
I've been trying myself on the hammer editor ocassionaly in the last and first years of counter-strike. Not to say more bad than good. More than 99% of the so called .bsp .vmf/x files are lost in the nothingness of 1 and 0. For good. They sucked, massively. Ramps that were made out of platformish brushes, rotated in the world, of course overlapping other brushes, having leaks or little edges of the ramp coming out of one of the adjusted brushes. Well, I somewhat ragequitted. A lot. Though I've tried myself again from time to time. The last week or so I've started working on hammer again. I discovered 3..eh..2kli..eh whatever philips youtube channel and started watching all of his videos . Not much of a thinking later I am sitting here posting my first 'serious, serious, serious' project - A bombsquad. Woosh blown' ya mind didn' I? Jokes aside - since I am farely new in terms of mapping I hope you can support me in the process of finishing my first fucking project. I somewhat made progress in my mapping 'skills' if you can name it like that at this stage . Long Story short *cough cough* - See my second, eh or third attempt for this ocassional hammer-try.
Everything you need should be provided in the link. Hope it works, otherwise let me know! yeyes5.bsp is the newest obviously. If you're greedy you can check out the other ones, too and see my progress on this map. Feel free to comment on that aswell.
If you're even more greedy, ehem.. and want to see an earlier and different attempt of this week check this out, too.
Note that there is still a lot to do and a lot of stuff can and will be changed. The goal above all is the completion of a defuse map. This actual 'map' is a bombsquad, could also be the mid. What I want to know if this is something I can build on. I really tried to keep it as clean and 'scaled' as possible. I also prefer the gameplay aspect of a map over the look of it. Nonetheless, I plan to 'finish' it look-wise. I appreciate every critic though. Best would be you wouldn't have read the last lines and just judge it by your own means . Thanks in advance.
