Hi Forgive ignorance but I'm new to mapping and have yet to learn from my mistakes, I can'e seem to succesfully compile my map in Hammer The report is uploaded reckless-gaming.co.uk/fail.txt, if anyone can offer advice I'd appreciate it

Sounds as if you've got a leak in your map. Have you been using the carve tool? Is there a hole in your skybox? Also, make sure you make displacements this way. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jnswWVXzj8INot sure why but loads of people insist that I tell them to select all 6 sides before creating the displacement- I'd never do that, though, as it slows down the computer, makes it impossible to sew together and looks HORRIBLE.

I hadn't done any displacements before the error started except the prefab ones but they compiled fine, and yes I did use the Carve tool until I watched 3klikphilips tutorial at which point I took out those rooms/halls and did them properly

If you wanted to you could upload the vmf for people to take a look at.

It's a lovely map but there are a LOT of problems with it. I'm slowly deleting what I think are the problematic entities and stuff, it's taking up a lot of my time. Perhaps there should be a board for maps with problems which can only be fixed with time consuming trial and error techniques, deleting a bit, seeing if it works, deleting a bit more and checking again. (With problem solvers earning lots of (pointless) Karma).
Do you have a camera but no monitor? The map crashes when I play it with the point_camera in. I deleted that and the map worked again. There is currently a leak being caused by a func_monitor, I'm just guessing here, but it could be because the point_camera doesn't have a func_monitor at all. The frame rate is so low on your map I don't think it's wise to have a camera entity in it at all.
You have a lot of fruit on the ground, I suggest changing them to a different type of physics object, possible physics_multiplayer, because at the moment I go flying when I stand on them.
The basement of the small house has a broken floor you can't jump through because the crates are restricting your movement. Also, you have to crouch to get through the entrance.
'models/ot_plant01.mdl' is an entity I don't actually have- is it a custom one?
On some of the entities you've got them as prop_static when they must be prop_physics, as you can see below.
'Error! prop_static using model "models/props_c17/furniturebed001a.mdl", which must be used on a dynamic entity (i.e. prop_physics). Deleted. Error loading studio model "models/props_c17/furniturebed001a.mdl"! Error! prop_static using model "models/props/de_inferno/fountain_bowl_p6.mdl", which must be used on a dynamic entity (i.e. prop_physics). Deleted.'
...Which just leaves the top two errors,
material "af_omega/clock_glass" not found Material not found!: AF_OMEGA/CLOCK_GLASS (Probably custom stuff again)
and
NODRAW on terrain surface!
Now, that last error is normally due to the displacements. Fro what I can see it appears that you've made them correctly. Could you say, step by step, how you made them?
As Interlopers.net says...
There are two possible causes, you accidently covered a displacement face in nodraw or you accidently made a hidden face a displacement. In order to fix it in either cases, uncheck the "auto" visgroup, then check only the "displacements" visgroup. Now, look round the map see if nodraw is anywhere you wanted a real texture. If found open the material browser and find and replace the nodraw texture with any other texture. If there's no vibisible displacement faces with nodraw you'll probably want to destroy them. Open the material browser, check "Only show used textures", select NoDraw and press "Mark". Open up the face edit sheet, and click "Destroy" on the displacement tab.
I'm not expecting you to try and fix all of these or anything, I just need more information on a couple of these points before progress can be made. Are you using custom models? How did you make displacements? Do you have a func_monitor in your level? Do your displacements have to be that detailed? (Looks nice but it slows the level down a LOT)

I used a Camera Prefab off of FPSBanana that I didn't get working properly so I replaced both Camera and Monitor with the one 3kliksphilip uploaded files.filefront.com/cameravmf/;10777675;/fileinfo.htmlPlant01 is a custom Model I got off Shiroko who made CS_Jungle, it's a Marijuana plant which I was planning to reproduce in the bomb site (Burn the pot fields). The Fruit is easily deleted that's no problem it was really just a trial and error thing, I had changed the furniture (prefab) to _physics I guess I missed a couple though I couldn't find "fountain_bowl_p6.mdl". I can just scrap the whole project and do a larger scale version now I have the working experience but theres no point making those mistakes unless I learn from them

Good attitude to take. I suggest reading through the txt file made when you compile the map, it's not hard to spot the errors because they normally say ERROR or have scary capital letters, and brush number 1448 or what ever. Just type them into google and benefit from those who have suffered in the past!

This Plant01 is being problematic, the file has a few extensions (.dx80 , .dx90 , .mdl , .sw , .vvd) I've tried just applying the mdl file but it doesn't seem to be working for me, am I missing something vital to applying a model? It's confusing me no end.
