I am making a jailbreak map, and I have occluded the armory so that all the guns props etc. dont get rendered when you are outside it. However, the occluder isn't working properly. It will occlude the props fine when I get near it, but if I am a certain distance away it will stop occluding.

I do not see a need for an occluder at all. That looks like a solid wall in front of you, and to your left, and should prevent the visleafs being rendered inside the building anyway.
The door leading into that room should have an areaportal in it, linked to the door, so that when the door is "closed" the areaportal is "closed" as well, stopping anything in the room from being rendered.

The reason that there is an occluder there is because there are lots of props inside. The armory has 1 skylight, 1 large window, + 1 vent and the main door. So it would require a lot of areaportals. The reason this is being rendered is because the visleaves are being cut badly (they go all the way to the ceiling, so vvis thinks that i can see through the skylight.) Do occluders stop working when you get far away from them?

But those props INSIDE should be hidden by the fact they are inside - ie Via the wall/door.
if they are being cut badly, cut them well. Use HINT textures where you need a cut - IE horizontally along the top of the building.
Worse comes to the worse, i could assist with it. Perhaps with teamviewer so u can watch and learn.
