iam having a problem with "glass/glass window002c" texture, the map has a gable roof with clipped texture 16 units thick on each end, whats weird is one end of the sidewall is fine the other flashes on/off with only a few degrees of angle change(view) i have tried a new one and a "ctrl c" copy of the other. same thing. i added the main wall texture and is does not flash. also not a water problem, but does anyone know the "clearest" water texture there is i have tried nature/water/canals_water_clear, and water_pretty1, just looking for something a little clearer below are a couple screens of window textures Thanks img694.imageshack.us/img694/2328/dmsalpinemiss.jpgimg535.imageshack.us/img535/742/dmsalpinefull.jpg

Well screenshotted.
I'd guess its to do with VisLeafs and therefore optimization. How long does it take to compile on Normal for all three?

1 min 29 secs, its a small map like a alpine ski lodge, its wierd that the other side works fine, the pics show sections missing but i clipped from one large block.

Small map should take 5 seconds or less. I can only guess this is the cause.
Try optimizing your map, see the guide in the FAQ, which is at the top of any forum.
If you really get stuck (do try first, though), then send me the map (assuming SDK every loads for me...)
EDIT: Post your compile log, too.

I found the problem, i moved the light_env a few units and changed the angle a little, and now the texture is stable, the map is 2048x2048x2300 with about 30 lights now. Thanks for your time Zeph.
