Hey, I have three questions (for now)
- How do I make a wall that looks like it solid, but that you can walk through (like in the surf_legendslite_t30 map)
- How to make a working door (with a button)
- I made a wall piece that you can shoot away, once you've done that a boulder comes out that fits the hallway. The boulder will roll down, an it is supposed to kill the person(s) it hits. However, it will just role through you, and if the boulder stops moving while your in it you're stuck.
I just started mapping, and I watched a lot of your tutorials on youtube, but I could't find on that explains this.
Thanks in advance, Reshooted

- Select the wall, ctrl+t, func_brush . Down at the bottom some where will be Solidity. Set it to Never. - uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jzNH2nOK6Tk- Eek. Make a bit of the wall, select it, ctrl+t, func_breakable . In its outputs put 'on damaged' then in the next one choose the name of the boulder and in the one below that 'Enable Motion'. For the boulder I'd use a func_physbox , motion disabled (in the flags). As for 'the boulder will roll down, an it is supposed to kill the person(s) it hits. However, it will just role through you, and if the boulder stops moving while your in it you're stuck.' ...sounds like some strange dream and I can't think of a way of doing it. The boulder will just roll down normally and crush any one in the way at the moment.

- Thanks, got that working.
- Sorry I didn't spotted it, but thanks anyway, I'm going to try it out right away.
- The problem ain't the func_breakable. The ceiling will break, boulder will fall down and the boulder will roll down the downwards slope. It just won't hurt/kill you. The boulder will roll through you, disabling your movement as long as your 'in' it (it is about the size of a character)

try putting a trigger texture (a circle) slightly bigger than the boulder. then tie the trigger texture to a trigger_hurt entity and make the damage somewhere above 100, lastly parent the trigger texture to the boulder and it should kill them pretty quick

I have another (small?) problem. I have two 'doors' that are on the ground, and I want them to go up, and than down again. So like a 90 degree angle in the Z-axis. The problem is that the func_door will only make it twist in the X or Y axis, and when I select 'Up' in Smart Edit it will spawn upwards and still twist in the wrong direction (counter/clockwards)
How to solve this?

To give you guys an idea of what I want: As you guys can see I allready replaced the circle to where it should be. Start position (before pressing the button) Final position (after pressing the button)

ok first make a door rotating. then, check the spawn flags reverse direction and X axis. If the door goes into the ground then uncheck reverse Dir. to make it go back down just make a logic_timer and set it to the time to how long you want the door stay open, the random interval off, and on outputs put ontimer door(or what ever the doors name is) close. Also, on the button or what ever activates the door opening put the output on press timer(the timers name) enable. if you have any other Q's just ask

@ cardplaya012,
I tried what you adviced (flaggs at reverse direction and X-axis, but the X-axis twist the spawn position of the 'door' Reverse direction only changes the direction in which the door twists (clockwise or counteclockwise)
Any other ideas, or has anyone tried something like this before?

I had the same problem before....i suggest messing around with the axises (ie X on Y off, X off Y on, X off Y off) if u experiment enough it'll work. some reason it will get all the sides messed up and it will stop making sense. If you can get it to work just upload the vmf and ill fix it for you but you should get it to work with enough experimenting.

I altered the map a little, I now have 9 doors and one button. Gonna try out all of the combo's with one push of a button I'll let you know how it worked out.
