I am currently making a elevator shaft for my map that is supposed to be very dark, yet this elevator keeps emitting light like no other, completely killing the mood. I would simply like for the elevator to not emit ANY light, or as little as possible.
The model is "models/props_lab/freightelevator.mdl"
I have tried changing the lighting origin, and every time that makes the map crash while loading.
Oh, and also, I'm using the Ep2 Engine.
P.S., Thanks for not trimming accounts, I was away for quite awhile (temporarily gave up mapping) and was shocked to find my account still active ;D

try using the other skin that comes with that model it doesn't appear to be lit

Sorry, I probably should have explained more. I have the skin set to the dark one by default, and when you press a button to turn on the elevator, the skin changes ( to the brighter one) and the elevator starts moving. But BOTH skins seem to be emitting light, including the dark one. The way it's supposed to work is, the elevator has lost power, but the electrical box inside the elevator is sparking, so you "+use" it, (or hit it with your crowbar, whichever you prefer), and the power resumes, which changes the skin to the brighter, default skin. But either way, they both emit the same amount of light around them, and I can't seem to disable it. And, yes, I have lights in the map, it's not the default map-lighting garbage
