So if anyone of you have ever played Company of Heroes then you've seen the early Carentan mission. No I do not want to remake the Band of Brothers map that is on the web and Yes i know I'm making an FPS map from a RTS game. I've started working on it and it looks nice (for something I've made) I really want this map to work so I"m asking for help, I'm wondering if there is any one who wants to help polish this puppy. I plan to do much of the work but an extra pair of hands that can clean it up a bit would be nice. I'm going to post this on FPSB (soon) so contact me there. (same user name) To be honest my mind isn't too clear with what I wanna do with this yet so if you have interest, message me! Original map These are earlier pix from the map, allied spawn. More has been added to the map since these pix were taken. link to FPSB thread www.fpsbanana.com/threads/158123

The trouble is, CoH is an RTS, and is very open. Good DoD:S maps utilize extensive use of corners and alleys combined with simple shapes. I think if you try and make the map the way it is portrayed in CoH you could end up with something that doesn't really fit the way DoD:S is played, all good dods maps are very simple planned layouts, with clearly defined routes.
For example, Donner is just an "S" shape with a space to one side and some connectors, Harrington is just 3 lines straight down like an "E" with connectors to both flanks in mid. Argentan is just the shape of an H with buildings through the middle.
I suggest you study maps like santos, harrington, donner, argentan, lennon, rails and solitude, these are some of the most successful DoD:S maps.
I like the idea though, good luck with your map.

Thank you Rusty for the concern but i have taken that into consideration. I"m not looking for an exact size and detail replica of the map, but one with a similar layout and idea. My vision sounds like how you described Harrington. Allies on church, and axis in mansion with a left path, a right path and a mid path to each other. I'm thinking 5 flag map and the roads wont be wide to give that close quarters feel to it. I can make this map, although it will be far from what i see i could do it. This thread is asking people if they have skills and interest in helping me out. I know there are some skilled people out there and i would be happy to find one. If anyone wants to join and think they can be of use, they are welcomed to.
