Hi, this is my first proper map (ie, first one where I am properly bothering with standardisation and technical issues such as visleaves and well applied lighting) The idea of the map is a government/military supply base. In the base there is are two bomb spots, a weapons cache and a main office. The Ts have broken in the back and want to interrupt their opponents' operations. The map is split into four routes, yes four - there tend to be more players on maps these days as the technology has improved since the game's release. Also, the bomb spots are intelligently designed and placed so that the CTs can get there at an advantage but need to work hard to protect them, if the Ts go too slowly then the CTs are able to hold them back. Apparent easy routes for the Ts are geared for beneficial CT sniping however the spots which the CT snipers must pose themselves mean they need to be aware of their flanks. Anyway, you may notice that the name is a bit off, for now it is just a working title; I will take suggestions (nothing cheesy/nooby please :S people tend to vote for maps based on the name). ScreenshotsI am a game development student, so this project should be a good part of my expanding portfolio. I am intending on spending the next 2 weeks on this map, by then there should be a beta version for people to playtest, then maby another 2 weeks of tweaking till the final release. Nice! Im suprised noone posted in this thread before me, this looks really neat! Also it looks like you have done a good job optimizing, ive yet to find a site with a good optimization guide for source sdk, im excited to see the result!
