Hey klik! I love all the tutorials you've made so far... but I'd really like to see one about the following: How can I make a button, which, when pressed, activates a laser, fire or anything like that, as a trap? Like traps in deathrun. Because I am trying to make a trap, but I don't really know how to make one. I'd be very grateful if you could help me and all the other map builders out there and explain us how to make stuff like that. Thank you very much in advance, and keep up the good work! Teun HEEyy..this i know..i did this in my ba_jail map..and it works.. So..a laser.. u create a env_laser ,next make a info_target and in his name type some thing..ill do whit laser1 ..click in the env_laser...target of laser..and type laser1 and it should works..if u want him starts on...go to flags..and select starts on...now to make the button..u make a block...texture it..and change it to func_button ...apply...go to outputs in the button (my output named chose onpressed ) targets entety named "laser1" and via this output "toggle" ..and it should works..fire is the same thing i think... there u r..lights the same thing too

like trains but a block to move in place like you have a wall and behind it is the block then you press a button to make it move in place on the other side

Same as a train, but behind a wall? You could use the button to also activate a teleport that's surrounding the button, so that when the button is activated, it 'beams' the !activator to said destination.
If you're going for that option - the latter, don't use '!player.' ALL players have that applied to them.
Say you wanted a button that kills the person that hits a switch, and you used the '!player' target, it would kill ALL players in your area. Using the '!activator' target ONLY targets the person who is actually triggering the switch.

Just wondering if by any chance you knew how to make a door that opens by pressing and holding down a button but when the player stops pressing it the door slams down if the door isn't open all the way. (like in EP1 in the parking garage)
Thanks also for the useful tutorials ;D

What the hell is a "cubemap", i've been wondering for along time... Had them in my levels, yes, it looks alot more awesome... But what does it actually DO?
EDIT:
Do I have to put them in every room? Or just once? (Roko's bro)

Cubemaps takes 6 pictures of the surrounding area. One up, down, left, right, front, and back. These pictures are stored in the .bsb file and basically accurately represents the reflections on your gun/knife and textures. Since the 6 photos are stored in the bsb its good to limit the amount of cubemaps to 1 per room.
