When I try to launch Hammer I get a green box that says. Warning Configuration information for the game you're tying to edit is invalid or missing. If I click Run Anyway I get a windows box that says. Game infor.txt doesn't exist in subdirectory. Check game parameter or Vconfig setting. I checked the SDK configuration and it is right. I also tried reseting configuration and Checking the game Cache. I also checked the TF2 Cache. Typically I will get a windows box and I end up having to check the TF2 and SDK cache before hammer Launches. This has been going on for a week or two. Now this new problem came up. I also unistalled and re-installed TF2. IDEAS

run TF2, load a map, then quit out and try Hammer again.

Thanks Zeph, Apparently this has to do with the steampipe update valve realeased. According to them the SDK launcher is no longer valid and you have to launch using the new beta authoring tools for the game. Which are supposed to be located in the tf bin file. I haven't tried it yet but we shall see.

If this happens to anyone. All you have to do is go into Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin Look for Hammer.bat make a shortcut to destop or wherever. This is where you launch hammer from now. This also goes for Faceposer.bat, HLMV.bat & vtex.bat. You don't need to do anything else.
