I have a problem with trying to create an overview for my csgo map when i get to the cl_leveloverview "x" part the map goes black. Actualy whenever i leave the skybox either using noclip or with the overview method this happens. Tried doing an overview with one of the default maps and everything went fine. Ive tried compiling with the hdr and 3d skybox turned off. running a full compile -staticpolyshadows the lot also tried running a normal compile did some testing im having the same black issue in dust 2. de_aztec was the map that didn't have the issue

Part of map going black could be out of render range or visleaf not in direct view. Try using vis=none when compile for this.

i tried compiling with no vis but that shouldn't be the issue anyway as im still in the map just in overview mode. Normaly when i have vis issues with bits of the map popping in and out i can still see the skybox. but everything goes black as soon as my camera leaves the skybox. Ive also built a test map just a cube nothing special and im having the same issue.

Is the top of your map (outside the skybox) textured with NoDraw? (Should be made nodraw automatically due to touching the void). Edit: I'm sure you have already, but check developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Level_Overviews and see if there's a command or step you've missed.
