Just had a quick look through the water thread This may well be on here.
Had some one contact me on steam , said that 3kliksphilip didn’t know how to solve (weather this is true i don’t know)
Problem is when you load pointfile , there’s a red line in the middle of no where / water doesn’t work in game you get the nodraw kinda error Absolute told me 2/3 years ago on a map I was working on Select all and center all origins (under one of the tool bars) and it fixes this issue but causes a pain in the arse if you have done loads of work with say like doors and things. I’ve only skimmed through this so if this fix is already on site , I apologise and this thread can be deleted just thought this may help other people as I know hammer can be a bar stool(rrrd)

The red line is a loaded point finder to help you find a leak in your map.
The bad water and stuff is due to the leak.
The select all and center origins makes sure all the entites origins are inside the entity, and inside the map, as this can be (rarely) a cause for a leak.
there must be a gap in your geometry somewhere causing the leak. Follow the red line from the entity it starts at to the void. Fill any gaps with world geometry brushes to seal the map.

That's the thing the line is in the middle of no were - it happend once to one of my old maps and recently to a guy that contacted me.
Line is far away from the map , their skybox was sealed and everything else was fine something that was away for the true origin must have been causing the error as once i centred thier entities the problem was fixed
There may well be a more accurate fix to this rare bug however to get back compiling this is one of those easy fixes that take time to sort the effects out

so it starts and ends in the void? i gotcha now.
That is usually due to a helper node being in that location. Select the whole map, turn on helper nodes (if they aren't already) and look at both ends of the red line. There should be a blue sphere one end. Move that sphere back inside the map.
The helper nodes aren't always origins. Sometimes they are move directions, rotation axes, etc. So centring origins may or may not solve it.

Ahh nice , so that would be the more acurate way with dealing with it rather then the pikey method i used
