I agree, the grass is bad.
Try instead using a blend texture which has decals, apply it to a displacement and change the alpha until the decals show.

yeah ive tried just about every blend texture in cstrike i loaded up ep2 hammer and tried and it worked first go it even showed the sprites in hammer. I was like FFFFFFFFFFFFF

Ignoring the grass, wow. Some of the best pictures I've seen from Source, particularly the building site one. The lighting is superb, though the shadows on it are a little bit too blue. That's pretty much the best criticism I can come up with. I love the colour schemes you've got going.

Like the sci-fi stuff alot ;D U'd better make that func_detail heaven tho or else its going to lag horrible (it thats ever goin to end up in a map) Damn, i'd really like to get my hands on these bushes and plants... HL2 only has some leafless trees and some background stuff (unless i aint looking in the right area)

There is some really inspired stuff here. Almost makes me want to pick up my hammer again.
You have an ability to translate kind of simple ideas into really visual stuff. Genuine design talent.
I really like your temple and spaceship (is it a spaceship?) WIPs, do yourself a favor and keep working with ideas like this. Warehouses, towns and the likes aren't very flattering to work with given that you have a sense of style.
As far as your temple goes, I think putting a significant amount of effort into the skybox will be the biggest payoff, something to think about.
Post back when you've finished that temple map, In the rare event that I check these forums I'd be interested to see it.

Are those custom tree props in the temple map (^Above^) I love the maps that you have displayed so far, ( I would be doing more projects, but I got Mapper's Block D: )
