I've had a lot of bother lately making sure I've got my computer protected against hackers/viruses etc. Tried loads of free software packages to get the right combination of firewall/anti-virus/adware, but can't quite get them to work together. Read loads of reviews recommending free products such as Avast! and AVG (which is understandable as they are pretty effective). And after reading a review, sorry, after reading loads of reviews recommending ZoneAlarm for my free firewall I felt obliged to download. Dislike the product, it conflicts a lot with my other software. Currently I'm using Windows standard Firewall, Ad-Aware and AVG Free. Really like ESET Internet Security from previous experience and would consider buying it again. So I'd appreciate it if I got some feedback from people on the forums and see what they recommend. What do you think is the best, free computer protection? I also understand this has no real relation to mapping, but I've searched a lot of sites and can't seem to get the right answers; just hoping people with plenty of experience can help me out

Kaspersky is the best but it costs money, unless your using the win7 beta, then its free. Dont be so paranoid I dont use anything except the monthly scan, be smart and if you think something is bad then do go to it. Last time I got a virus was from my friend installing and downloading lime wire to my laptop. I use spybot s&d for that scan and besides that I leave windows fire wall and defender off.
