I wish valve would make one. Atleast with the orange box engine since there iffy about DX10 and see to like DX9. I dont mean CSS ported to the new engine, but new maps maybe some based on the old maps and some new ones, new weapons, models, teams maybe? But no vehicles.
Oh and much much better textures.

DX10 will just mean more fuckups. seems every time valve updates anything they ruin demos.
I like to run all source games at the lowest possible settings, less visual clutter to distract me.

Im competitive just not that competitive to where I run everything to where it looks like crap. I dont think better textures, shadows, and lighting would distract me too much... atleast not for long.

thats what battlefield 2 is for. Also that would require different maps.

thats what battlefield 2 is for. Also that would require different maps. Not that's not what BF2 is for, BF2 is very crappy and too big, CS:S with 1 vehicle isn't even close to BF2 so don't even compare the two.

Vehicles in CS would completely ruin the game, it was never designed for vehicles and it never ever should be be.

Agree with Rusty. Adding even one vehicle would completely ruin the counter strike series for me. So you want the same maps yet somehow with a humv? That wouldn't work. They would have to make larger maps to make use of the humv without adding tanks, helicopters, and jets, which is exactly what battlefield 2 is.

I never said anything about using the same maps! Like just one or two with it like AA2.

Then those maps would be like battlefield 2....

Adding more doesn't make it better. If you have a balanced game, adding in vehicles and stuff can disrupt that balance. It can over complicated it for new players and it can lead to all sorts of bugs and problems. It would be like adding an RPG element to Left 4 Dead, or a helicopter into a racing game, simply because 'it would be cool'.

I don't get how any of that stuff has to do with CS:S, those are just utterly and completely random. Having a jeep or something in CS:S would make the game so much better among people who like the mods of the game, I'm not even talking about the original game itself, I'm talking about the modded content.

Alot of times, less is more. I agree that updated maps would go great for DX10, as long as they do it like the jump from 1.6 to Source: the same maps, just kind of update them for the new engine.
