Got an ide when i watch a movie with the soundtrack from the movie "The Rock"
Why not make a map out of Alcatraz?
I'm not that good so far, so i won't try it jet....

Yeah, a big jail could be good. Especially with colour correction...

Cool. Someone already taught it out 8MB is that a big map? Or how big are a "normal" map?

8 mb isn't too big. de_wanda is about 80 mb I think. Normal maps with custom textures are about 20-30 mb, NORMAL maps are about 2-8.

City9k is currently at about 25mb, but its not finished. I like the idea, I think you should scale it down though, going through the whole of Alcatraz would be a bit of a chore.
Make sure there is outdoor gameplay too.
Dont worry about that map, just use a different style, someone already made a Omaha Beach map, but its very different from mine, same place though.

The large size is due to the lighting. Set the lightmap scale to 32 instead of 16 and it'll go down to under 10 mb.

lol, i began working on a map of alcatraz once, then i could find a goood way to connect peices of terrain together without making loads of glitches so that kinda in the trash.
