Okay i followed the tutorial on youtube about the fog controller, but when i compile it and load the game it just comes up as things being really white, like trees and stuff, looks really odd :/
Think i did everything right though, am using the l4d sdk thing
I would post a screen shot but im not sure how to on here (dunce)

Did you make too much of the fog, perhaps? To post a screenshot, press F5 (default key), and a picture will show up in you'r cstrike folder with the maps name. Upload the picture to www.tinypic.com. Under "Links to share" copy "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" and paste it to you'r post.

You have the fog colour set to white by the look of it. Set it to black instead.

okay so i set it black, and every colour close to black, but it doesnt show up at all now...
There is a primary and secondary colour thing on the l4d one, not sure about the css one though...
Just can't seem to get it to work!

What do you mean 'it doesn't show up at all' ? If the fog's black then things in the distance will look darker (black).

Oh, you mean you want it to fade into nothingness? Find out what the colour of the skybox is and make the fog that colour. In this case, try
18 36 48
