Hey folks.
Ive been mapping for 1.6 for some years and have recently trying with source. Im rather good at landscapes and building stuff, but i lack in technical matters.
Since im making a WW1 styled map i wanted a 3d skybox to make hills on fields going away in the distance instead of making like a fence or something, pretty unhistorical.
Ive followed a bunch of guides but the same problem keeps reappering. Either it happens that i see the map itself in the sky instead of the skybox i built or that the sky works as there were no skybox at all, just plain nothing. Like you see objects that is in the game like you copy paste shit over and over. Dont know how to explain.
Id like to send the map to some more experienced that can see the problem, and maybe point out some other bugs/etc if there is any.

Hi, you have to have your 3D skybox in a totally separate skybox from the world for it to work.

Here, everything looks normal as it should be, but if i aim a little higher... This nasty mess appears? Any Clues? The very map im on, i cant see myself but smokes and such appear in the map you see.

You have a leak in your map some where, letting the darkness in. Or you have entities outside the skybox.

^ Or you have left a sky_camera in your normal map, I do it all the time and it does the same thing, although from what I can see you dont have a 3d skybox.
Best way to find out if you have a leak in your map is to load the point file. This is in the tools menu or the map menu I think, when you find it it will try to open a pointfile with the same name as your map, if there is no pointfile there shouldn't be any leak.
