Hi Gt a question for anyone who can answear. sounds stupid i know How do you stop npc from going though the ground when u duplicate them. I think its a Mapping issue with some maps (aka some of my maps ) only the ep2 npc seem to stay on the floor (probably to do with gmod being an orange box engine game) For people who dont understand heres a short video video (youtube) uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MVzu5p-mixk(For editing maps in Hammer)

I'm pretty sure this is a gmod related error. Its been happening since garrys mod 7 and i think its just a bug in the source/gmod coding that cant be fixed. Or hasn't been brought to attention yet to be fixed.

I'm almost positive it only happens on displacements... I'm also fairly sure it's because they spawn halfway through the displacement or something and the engine makes them just start beneath it to avoid problems... don't quote me on this though.

Well try it like I did; make a box for the floor, make another one and put displacements on it. Both will do the same thing. Some thing you could try is make the skybox parallel to the floor: |FlOOR||___SKYBOX___| If you catch my drift.

You know some maps have bumpy grounds? well under the bumpy ground is another layer of a block witch will make sure there is no holes so thats why on flatgrass you can dup npc (and on many other maps) becouse it is flat and no layer under that
