So, I've learned how DoD mapping works, those flags are damn tricky if you dont know what you're doing As alot of you know, I've made a WW2 Map before, aim_dday. Well, when I made that map, I wasnt as good as I am now, so I've remade most of the map from scratch, pretty much the only things I didnt change were the water, the cliff, and the sand brushes, everything else is totally different. Heres the map, its about 70% done.

It looks super sexy. Grass is a bit flat though

Displacements = crashes, epicly long compile times, horror, and all that stuff. I'd rather it was flat for now, then I will push to see how much bumpy ground I can make when its done.
EDIT: There germans remember? everything must be perfect! - even the grass.
Good excuse? no?

The map is now in its first beta. and it has planes! Im going to have to pakrat the ambient gunfire and stuff in though, there's a lot of sounds in the map.. but atleast it actually compiles now, I remember making the CS:S version for this, it took me about 10 hours to work out what the hell was wrong with it (func detailed some displacements, big nono).
