In what way is Windows 7 awesome? Problem is I'm used to XP. I'd lose years of experience by switching over. I bought Vista but was unimpressed by how slow it got once my hard drives were full and since then I've been put off. besides, XP does everything I want. I still use Vista for DX 10 games.

I bought Vista but was unimpressed by how slow it got once my hard drives were full and since then I've been put off. besides, XP does everything I want. I still use Vista for DX 10 games. Well in one way theres many cool features you'll have to experience for your self. Also it is a whole lot faster than xp. I have xp and 7 installed on my machine. Xp boots up in ~1min 20sec and my 7 boots up in 23 seconds. Also downloading is somehow faster and my speeds increase compared to xp. Also theres the look. 7 looks great and all icons, windows are nice looking compared to xp. Not to mention Dx11. I also don't use shortcuts to programs on my desktop, I use the tool bar and launch all my programs from there. Theres great compatibility as long as you know what your doing and on bench marks (3D mark) I get better scores. Games also play better as 7 has a better memory management system. GTA IV for example is smooth and clean when ever I play on 7 how ever on xp it stutters and lacks the smoothness of 7 during heavy action moments. Another really cool feature is that when ever you plug in a device, the newest drivers are already installed. Microsoft really reworked the new hardware as its called in xp. UAC is something many people complained about in Vista, and its still in 7 however I have it turned off. Overall as a user of xp, vista, and the RC/Beta 7, Windows 7 has been the most user friendly, fastest, and reliable os I have used in a long time.
