Alright folks, This time its real life locations. Basically anything that is on earth, here are some examples Prizes: Winner: 100 Karma Runners up: 30 Karma all entrants: 10 Karma First map!:10 Karma! I expect to see a few more submissions this time! I will be judging on the looks, design, and artistic value of your map, It has to be playable in either CS:S, DoD:S, Garrysmod, hl2, or TF2. It must function as a playable map, gameplay balance isnt an issue, this is purely aesthetics that I am judging. Restrictions: 1. You may not use dev textures.2. You must have lighting.3. You must keep your map at a reasonable size, utilize the 3D Skybox to give a feel to your map if needed.4. Keep your map as accurate to the real life location you are making as posible.
The competition ends on December 20'th, you've got 9 days, judging ends on the 22'nd That should keep you occupied right up till Christmas! (unless you work on a map non stop till its finished like me) Good luck, now get mapping!

Its easy, just like the last one. Make your map, take about 3 - 5 screenshots, post them here, and upload the .bsp file to a website, I reccomend megaupload, or if you are so inclined, FPSBanana . If you are one of the finalists, you post your .bsp file and we / I can inspect it further.

This doesn't count, because I cant enter my own competition. But this is based on the pyramids. www.fpsbanana.com/maps/73380and therefore would qualify as a map for this competition! (only just.... its very loosely based on the pyramids, I would expect you guys to be more accurate ) just giving you guys more ideas and examples!

So when you mean "playable" you mean that you must be able to just walk around, see no clips or glitches and stuff that like, that would ruin the map?
I'm in!

That oil-platform will be a bitch to run I'm working with cylindrical shapes, and it takes SDK like forever to run the map. I'll see if I can come up with anything usefull

Now days I dont feel it is a crime to run VVIS at fast. And by playable, one team has to be able to kill the other team, and both teams have to be able to win.

Good job, you get 20 karma for submitting a map AND being first, your bridge looks quite nice. Some advice I can give you for the next competition is to work on scale, that bridge is very small compared to the one in the real life picture, and it would look alot more impressive if it was the same scale. I don't think it would be fair for me to give you any more help / advice until the contest is over, but check back, good work! thanks for entering!!

I think it's a very good bridge. Faithful to the original design, right down to the number of ropes.

Come on guys, MORE MAPS! If you guys can get this popular enough I will start giving out prizes from the steam store! Mapping = Eventually getting games! I have left 4 dead on one of my accounts, I rarely ever play it.. Ill need to have this thing really take off before I start spending money on it, only YOU can make it happen.
