Trying to make a scoutezknivez map and I saved it then couldn't open it in hammer again so I de-compiled the BSP and re-named the map. The BSP was a slightly earlier version so I added the exact same things then didn't get a problem, then I did it again and now it won't open and I don't have a BSP. I get this error message: Out of memory loading solid. line 14155: error 7Hammer then proceeds to crash. Note that it is a very small map. I have included the VMF so you can take a look if you'd be so kind line 14155 reads: "material" "TOOLS/TOOLSNODRAW"Thankyou Attachments:

This structure is invalid, as you can see by the "-1.#IND" coordinates. Delete this whole solid (lines 14148-14212) and save.
How are you making this block? vertex editing? Be very careful not to make any faces with a "fold" in them, or a concave brush. Also, if two vertexes share the same position, merge them, else you get a 0-length edge.

I deleted the lines you stated and it opened perfectly in hammer, thankyou! I've been using the clipper tool a fair bit but apart from that its just brushes and a spawn so far. Another odd thing is that I can't see any solid missing in the map, and there's not many so I thought I would have noticed it. I'll merge the vertexes as you suggested, thanks again for your help, I really appreciate the free, quick and reliable help.

Np, glad i could help. The volume above looks like it was a singularity - IE no volume at all. This is why you probably cant see what's missing, as there was nothing to see in the first place! Have fun.
