Is there a way to make brush-based doors destructable like the ones in nuke, that take damage, can be destroyed, and also work as doors?

Parent func breakables to invisible or hidden func doors

Ok that is a really cool idea, but i mean, can you make a brush work door/breakable, behave like those cool, damagable prop_door_rotating doors in de_nuke, or is that only possible with a model?
maybe a func_breakable_surf, though i've only ever seen them used for glass. Please excuse my noob, i think i have some test maps to make =)

func_breakable for brushes, func_breakable_surf for a single face, like thin glass.
You'll need to parent to what you want it to move by, as func_breakable doesn't move by itself.
The other option is a func_physbox, as they can break, but more expensive then a breakable.
