Is there a way for me to edit many vmt files at the same time and give them all a new path for vtf files? I thought VIDE had something like that, but no luck.

Not that i know of. It's a bit silly the path is so "full" in each file.
Just out of interest, how many you gotta change?

I have downloaded just about every texture from Gamebanana.com, but no big deal.

You can use a batch text editor program, I use this program (http://www.mediafire.com/?ur47297hccthhq6) i can't remember where i found it but it's pretty simple
Directory: The folder path of the files you want to replace Find: What you want to replace Replace with: What you want to replace items with Only for: Put the .vmt extension in here It should be pretty simple from here to find what you need to replace and what to put in place of it. When you hit replace the button greys out until it is finished.
Example: I have items under a folder called "Realisticwallsandfloors" and want to move it to just "Floors" in the VMT files it shows as "$basetexture" "realisticwallsandfloors/metal/metalfloor4"
I would look for "$basetexture" "realisticwallsandfloors/ and replace it with "$basetexture" "Floors/
I'm pretty sure there are a ton of mass/batch text file editors out there you can try that use the same idea
