I have been making a map with counter strike source SDK. However, today I accidentally opened it with the cs go sdk and saved it. Now, whenever I try to load the map in CSS SDK it just crashes hammer. How do I fix my map?

Ouch.
Check out the auto backups created by hammer? Usually C:\HammerAutosaves or something.
Failing that, decompile the BSP into CSS.

Nope that didn't work. The problem is that the cs go sdk saves the vmf in a slightly different format. However, I can't find a tutorial on google that tells me how to port cs go maps into css.
Also, I do have some backups in hammer autosave but they are rather old, I would like to not use them if possible.

Might be something in the VMF, try opening it in notepad and seeing if there's any CSGO-specific changes there.
Basically, there probably is no easy solution, and it's far beyond what this forum and my knowledge base can help with. You'll have to try Valve or the Valve forums to seek that knowledge, see if anyone else has done the same or managed this conversion.
how big was the map? how long ago was the autosave? It's probably your best bet. Make a backup of the autosave in case you do need to go back to it, in case it gets overwritten.

have u tried to copy the entire map contents in cs:go, and den immediately open a new vmf under css and paste/save, and see if u can edit it again. (i know u decided to port it fully to csgo, but it's something to try if u change your mind)

I already tried that, it doesn't work. I'm actually happy that i ported it to cs go. there are so many more props and good textures .

Possibly some more information on this error on steam forums. Seems it might be caused by using the SourceMP engine?
