In box number one you should use these settings: Run BSP (the world) Normal (always) Run VIS (the VisLeafs) Fast (Testing) Normal (Final) Run RAD (the lighting) Fast (Testing anything except lights) Normal (Testing lighting and Final) IE - RAD needs to be Fast or Normal. "No" means no lighting, and hence a fully bright map. You also need to have at least one "light" entity. That's "light" not "env_sun" "light_Dynamic" "light_spot" etc...

And be sure to add props that the light comes out of, Just floating light entities look (Ugh) and unrealistic

I forgot to mention this, but also try to vary the textures, if there is like 3 different textures, its boring(No Offense) and also, try to add some stains to the walls to give it a more realistic feel, with the "Infodecal" Entity
