I bought Borderlands 2 days ago. I have been playing nonstop in my extra time since, stopping only to eat, sleep, shower and go to school. Needless to say, i enjoy it. What do yall think about it?

I've not played it but thinking about getting it.
Could you tell me what the "plot" of the game is?
For example for L4D - 4 players co-op get from A to B killing zombies and boss zombies on the way.
I enjoy L4D which is 4 player co-op, and Borderlands is 4 player co-op too, so sounds really interesting, but i don't know the style of game.

theres not much of a plot. something like your treasure hunters on this planet, Pandora, and your looking for a thingy of powerful weapons. thats really about it. beside the story quests, there are a buncha side quests, mostly the "kill X monsters" or "get Y items." simple, but fun. the real focus is the weaponry. its compared to diablo in the weapon system, i cant vouch for that, never played diablo. there are countless weapons, all with different stats. overall, its fun.

From what i see, you pick a quest, go kill some things, and gain new weapons for your dude/dudess.
So basically its a 4 player co-operative skirmish first person shooter role playing game. Simples! <squeek>

Yea, I ripped it, 100% online gameplay and all. Anywho. Its more than just questing, and a straight through game. It's got over 220k different guns, and there are endless builds to your characters skills. You choose from like 4 different types of players, and do quests/missions or just train on monsters. Leveling up gains you an ability point, to add more skills. Like an RPG shooter. You can play with other people, or play against them in duels and arena's. There are side goals that give you xp as well, Like shooting 500,000 bullets. :] Quests are always a challenge, their never really easy. The max level is 50, but you can do more playthroughs for higher level enemys for challenge. You can also edit guns if you have ps3 version I hear. There are 2 available vehicles, and hundreds of shields. Every class has a special Ability. For Mordecai [sniper/pistol guy] he has a pet named bloodwing, it attacks monsters for him. For the soldier its a miniturret with a shield. For the Brick guy [Melee guy] He gets a skill called berserker, which is completely insane, he attacks people with his fists, and he does MASSIVE damage. And last, is the chicks ability, she can phasewalk. Phasewalk does damage when activated and deactivated. When in phasewalk, shes invis, and when she melee's it does massive damage, and then turns off. Also, she runs VERY fast in phasewalk, Almost vehicle speed. There are also grenade mods in the game, like sticky grenades, bouncing bettys, and Health draining nades. LAST, BUT NOT LEAST. There are robots named claptraps, they ROCK! xD The end. Oh and also, heres a build of my character mordecai.

Aye i have it too now.
Tis quite fun, it's a whole story line with quests along the way.
I found most quests were really easy, especially solo.
Shotgun + Sniper Rifle = WIN. What more do you want? One hit kills on nearly everything!
I think the girl is most fun due to the stealth and melee attacks. Brick is mad if there are multiple bricks in the group and all go zerk at the same time on bosses! Hunter's pet sux, but great for snipers. Soldier is great for teamwork since he heals and restocks ammo. The turret's good too.

Just got it today. It is pretty fun and an overall good game. The whole cell shading thing is a pretty cool idea and you can see how the engine renders the out lines by looking at bumpy ground. You'll see the dark outline appear from a distance then disappear when you get closer. Several things do disappoint me though. For starters theres no ingame option for vsync. Two, even on high quality several props and textures are very low quality. And third the menus are bugged for me, when ever it asks me something and wants me to press yes or no enter for yes doesnt work and I have to click yes with the mouse ,small problem but one none the less. Good game? Yes. Groundbreaking and something Ive never seen before? No. Oh yeah and the water effects are very very weak.

All the textures are hand drawn, hence they look low quality. Menus are console based, hence they are strange. Some short cuts don't work as you described. The biggest flaw with the game is Online playing. 1) Most servers DO NOT WORK because the game requires "Port Forwarding". 2) Everyone, and i mean everyone, ninjas as much as they can to sell. See that awesome upgrade? due to your lag someone else got it and sold it. You MUST get together with friends and play, or play solo. Don't go online with randoms, not fun at all. Here's a handy link to some "tweaks" which improve the game: gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=79043Oh, and add me as a friend: zephdavies.

I just enabled vsync through the nvidia control panel. In the first town look at some of the debris on the ground. Extremely low quality. The 'houses' (I think thats what they are) are really bad too.
