Select the selection tool (the red pointer i think, in the upper corner)
and select the wall you would like to make thinner in the camera view
then on one of the graphs however which way u wanna make it thinner you drag the little boxes (there should be 8 if its a rectangle/square)
if its not 8 little boxes and they are either 6 little boxes or 4 little circles on the corner, click the block again in the graph thingy to make it the 8 little boxes. drag the boxes to your liking.
good luck >>

Just in case it is the grid he is having issues with and not making a box: If you want to make thinner walls make the grid size smaller by clicking that button with the [grid]- on it. As you can see in the bottom right picture the block is 16x64 in accordance to that view, and 16 is as small as I can make it (which equals the grid size)... so to make a thinner block just adjust the grid size. Note though if you are making larger objects it's usually easier to have larger grid sizes, and you shouldn't typically use a size less than 8 (just choosing an arbitrary exponent of 2), as getting things accurate with that much precision takes more time. Anyhow, glad you're taking up mapping, look into the tutorial list in the tutorial section for a bunch of good tutorials. Happy Mapping.

Use [ and ] to enlarge and shrink the grid, it's a lot easier to use shorcuts
