Depends ... You using Hurricane bot (HRCBot) A search for it, download it, extract and install... You can praise my crunchy goodness, later. It's a pretty good add-on; I use it when I want to play-test some of my maps. It's got a difficulty setting from 0-100 (inverse setting: 100=HORRIBLE noob; 0=sell your soul to last more than 10 seconds.) As well, it has a whole plethora of commands that give control, too. All of them have the 'HRCBot' lead-in and you can even do an analyze to build nav-points.

AH! Nooow we're getting someplace. You need an 'ai_relationship' in you map, someplace to give instructions to your creepy-crawlies. That basically tells all creepies in the squadron 'XYZ' to target '!player' and their disposition for/ against. As well, any console commands that you'd like to use to alter said little bastard's behaviors (speed, damage, etc) can be done with a 'point_servercommand', a 'point_clientcommand' and a 'logic_auto'. To make things a little less taxing for your newly made friends to move about, put in a bunch of 'info_node' entities around w/ the 'ground node' texture. These help to dictate terra-firma to the green-bleeders. As well, if you plan on using, say, zombies ("BRAAAAAIIIIINNNNS!"), make several batches and name them in different squads (Zom1, Zom2, Zom3, etc) and use different behaviors for each. Then, after you've gone through all the trouble of naming them all, mix 'em all up so that they're all randomified.
